Ness Doughty is currently working towards an English Associate of Arts degree with a writing certification, and is hoping to transfer in the future to Southern Utah University to double major in Outdoor Education and Leadership and English. Their position on SLiCE is the Human Rights and Equity Lead, which works to seek out and address various human rights and access issues in the community. Since starting school here at SLCC, Ness has been involved in the Thayne Center for Service and Learning and has been an Americorps member since July of 2018. They are also a tutor in the Student Writing and Reading Center and loves to have collaborative discussions around writing. They are a member of the LGBTQ+ community and works to be an advocate on campus and a voice for said community. Ness is particularly excited in this position and hopes to shed light on the many issues in the community and how to best address and tackle them.
