Sefa Aina is currently the Associate Dean and Director of the Asian American Resource Center at Pomona College. He has served as an academic and student-organizational advisor, as well as an instructor for Asian American Studies programs at University of California, Los Angeles and California State University, Fullerton. In September of 2010, Aina was appointed by President Obama to the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and served as the Vice-Chair of the Commission from 2010 to 2014. Aina graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in History and has begun the University of California, Los Angeles M.A. program in Asian American Studies.
