My name is Alaina Aflague Arroyo and I am a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of San Francisco, studying Critical Diversity Studies and Sociology. I am of Native Chamoru, Mexican, and Puerto Rican ancestry. A lot of my interests surround the rights of Native Pacific Islanders, centering United States imperialism and militarism in Oceania. I am particularly interested in the statuses of United States colonies especially considering two of my three identities are still colonies of the United States. Following my interests, I have testified at the United Nations twice in favor of the decolonization of my homeland, Guåhan (Guam).
